Spring Awakening cast confirmed, Brisbane

Underground Broadway have released the full cast list for their upcoming production of Spring Awakening, playing at Metro Arts from 23 August.

Newcomer Harrison Aston will play Melchior Gabor, leading a cast of exciting Brisbane artists in this Tony Award winning musical. S

tarring alongside Aston is Jacqui McLaren as Wendla Bergmann, who audiences will recognise from her performance as Mimi in the sold-out season of RENT at the Brisbane Powerhouse. They will be joined by Oliver Lacey (Bare) as Moritz Stiefel, Jordan Malone (Kiss Me, Kate) as Martha Bessell, Ruby Clark (RENT, Grease) as Ilse Neumann, Tim Carroll (The Boys of Sondheim, Grease) as Hanschen Rilow and Michael Nunn (Bare) as Ernst Robel.

James Shaw and Matilda Award winner Elise Greig will feature in the adult roles for the production. Rounding out the spectacular cast is Monique Dawes, Tom Hooley, Maddison McDonald and Sammy Sand.

Spring Awakening is Directed by Tim Hill (RENT, This Is Our Youth) and produced by Underground Broadway.
