Spiegel Haus Melbourne to host Midsumma shows and a Latin NYE party

Spiegel Haus Melbourne – the new summer destination for shows, food and drinks, and nightlife – will be the official artist bar for Midsumma 2026, as well as hosting shows including Freak Out the Afterparty , Rooftop Piano Bar: Hosted by Tina Del Twist and Late Night Vice.

These new shows join already announced shows Blanc de Blanc Encore, Vaudeville Smash’d’s Saturday night residency and Maho Magic Bar, which commences its three-month season on Tuesday 25 November, plus the return of Jazz & Jaffles on Friday 28 November.

Also just announced is Spiegel Haus Melbourne’s New Year’s Eve carnival night Viva La Fiesta NYE, a Latin celebration under the stars with the perfect vantage point to experience the city’s spectacular fireworks while the night explodes with rhythm, colour and culture.

Enter a world of mystery, mischief, and midnight glamour with Late Night Vice, Melbourne’s bold new after-hours escape. A cocktail-drenched fever dream where cabaret collides with chaos, it’s a night of shadowy glamour, whispered secrets, and a rogue’s gallery of theatrical renegades.

A cabaret and comedy cocktail hour, Rooftop Piano Bar: Hosted by Tina Del Twist sees Tina let her velvet voice and wicked wit loose with a bevy of dazzling guests every Friday and Saturday throughout Midsumma.

Australia’s much-loved nightingale holds court as the night’s host, serving glamour, laughter and a generous splash of mischief.

Freak Out the Afterparty is the ultimate late-night variety experience, an electrifying fusion of drag, burlesque, circus, and cabaret, all set to a pulsating soundtrack of 90s house and club anthems. This isn’t just a show—it’s a high-energy, immersive party where the line between performer and audience disappears. Expect mind-blowing acts, fierce choreography, and outrageous comedy, all delivered by a cast of world-class entertainer.

Blanc de Blanc Encore continues to intoxicate audiences in the Spiegeltent with its signature blend of hedonism, humour and old-school cabaret decadence. Overflowing with vintage French glamour, highoctane circus, and edge-of-your-seat entertainment, it’s all served up with a riotous wink and a whole lot of fizz and is currently playing until 1 February 2026.

Japanese magic bar Maho Magic Bar delighted and stunned Melbourne audiences in 2023 with rave reviews. With freswo’ night, full of mischief, mayhem, cocktails and laughter. In an intimate, bespoke space, visitors will be in disbelief as the very best of Japan’s superstar sleight-of-hand specialists perform exclusive magic shows at point blank range, putting a wild contemporary spin on magic traditions which date back to Japan’s Edo period.

Vaudeville Smash’d continues its Saturday night residency in the late night slot at the Spiegeltent until Saturday 6 December. A collision of music, comedy, cabaret and controlled chaos, it smashes together vintage vaudeville flair with a twist of disco, funk, and unexpected surprises.
