So you want to go to NIDA? Find out more at their courses at a special NIDA Info Night next week!
The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is one of Australia's most well known dramatic arts institutes and has helped launch the careers of some of our greatest theatre makers, actors, technicians and industry leaders like Cate Blanchett, Mel Gibson, Baz Luhrmann, John Bell and more.
The good news for Australia's next generation of creative talent is that next week, on Thursday 22 August, NIDA will be hosting a special Info Night for anyone curious about what it’s like to be a student this world renowned school. Prospective students and their families are invited to come along to the evening for first-hand information about the school’s elite undergraduate courses, world-class training facilities and graduate success stories.
Detailed information about NIDA’s elite Bachelor of Dramatic Art program will be available and academic staff will give presentations about the application and audition/interview processes, course structure and content as well as NIDA’s unique approach to education and training.
The Bachelor of Dramatic Art program offers courses in the specialist discipline areas of Acting, Music Theatre, Costume, Design, Production, Properties (‘Props’) and Staging and past students will share insights into their experiences training at NIDA and working in the industry. Staff and graduates will also be available one-on-one on the evening to answer questions.
NIDA Info Night begins at 6pm on Thursday 22 August, at NIDA in Kensington.
Can't make it to the event in person? No stress! In this technological age, you can experience much of the event while sitting in front of your computer! View the presentations and submit questions online via a live webcast, which will also be available to stream after the event.
Don't wait until five minutes to six on Thursday evening – anyone interested in finding out more about NIDA Info Night or accessing the live webcast should register their details in advance at www.nida.edu.au/info2013.
