Slide Lounge in Sydney will host the public memorial on Monday June 2 for the talented Australian theatre performer, who passed away suddenly in early May.

An accomplished entertainer, Scott starred in many theatrical productions, musicals, TV shows and films both in Australia and internationally. Best known for his performance as Adam/Felicia in the original production of Priscilla – The Musical, his many stage credits also included Jersey Boys, Dusty, The Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, The Temperamentals, and Shout! His career also took him overseas, performing in the critically acclaimed musical Cats in both Korea and Greece.

His screen credits also included the film Moulin Rouge and the Australian pilot of Queer Eye For A Straight Guy. He had also recently starred in the Wizards of Oz cabaret show at Slide Lounge.

Former Jersey Boys co-star Jeremy Brennan and a host of Scott’s close friends are organising the memorial at Slide Lounge, which will commence at 7pm and feature performances in his honour.

“Daniel is widely remembered as a force of nature, with tremendous talent, generosity of spirit, and a remarkable fearlessness”, said Jeremy Brennan, “this memorial is an opportunity to celebrate him the way he would love, with lots of booze and song.”

Anyone wanting to come along to the memorial can join the Facebook group for more information, or RSVP to Slide Lounge directly on 02 8915 1899 or [email protected]. The venue’s capacity is 400, and organisers are hoping for a capacity crowd in Daniel’s honour.
