VIDEO → Rob Guest Endowment 2012 – Interviews with the finalists and host Rob Mills

RGE_logoAs I type, I am sitting in on a rehearsal for the 2012 Rob Guest Endowment concert at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne.

Choreographer Jason Coleman and the six RGE finalists – selected from hundreds of applicants – are working on a sassy ensemble number. To be honest, watching this team of performers, and they are a team, is one of the most exciting things I have witnessed in a long time.

Here are six exceptionally talented triple threats – Andrew Conaghan, Glenn Hill, Samantha Hagen, Allyce Martins, Euan Doidge and Kirby Burgess – working together using all their skills as performers to learn and polish one of the many numbers they will be presenting tonight in their quest to win the 2012 Endowment.

Now in its fourth year, the Rob Guest Endowment is under the guidance of the representative committee, John Frost OAM, James Thane, Bernadette Hayes and Kellie Dickerson and is supported by a number of external organisations including The Gordon Frost Organisation, ANZ Trustees, Her Majesty’s Theatre and more.

This year’s concert will be hosted by Bert Newton, Rob Mills and Lucy Durack with some of the country’s finest musical theatre performers taking to the stage to perform alongside the six finalists.

AussieTheatre will be tweeting tonight throughout the concert, and have prepared this special video for your enjoyment!
