Perth’s time to try defying gravity – Wicked set to hit WA in 2015!

John Frost announced the thrillifying news today that Wicked will fly to Perth in May 2015, as part of its 10th Anniversary tour. The Perth season will play at the Crown Theatre, Burswood, following the Brisbane leg of the tour.

Currently in Sydney, Wicked still sings, and it doesn’t seem like Australian audiences have tired of this flashy, runaway musical hit just yet, which the New York Times called “the defining musical of the decade.”

“We are thrilled to bring Wicked back to Perth” said John Frost.

“Perth audiences flocked to Wicked during the last season, and we’ve had hundreds of requests on social media to bring it back.

“Wicked is a musical phenomenon; it has been seen by over 40 million people worldwide and regularly grosses in excess of US$1.8 million each week on Broadway. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience”.

Australia’s Wicked cast currently features Jemma Rix as Elphaba, Lucy Durack as Glinda, Steve Danielsen as Fiyero, Reg Livermore as the Wizard, and more.

Wicked will play at the Crown Theatre in Burswood from 6 May 2015. Tickets will be on sale from November 17.  For more information, visit wickedthemusical.com.au
