The Australian premiere of Opera North’s five-star production of Puccini’s operatic masterpiece Tosca by Opera Australia will become the first opera ever performed at Margaret Court Arena when the venue is the transformed into a 3000 seat opera house this May.
A gripping political thriller, where love, jealousy, and betrayal collide, Tosca is the perfect first taste of opera, and one that opera lovers return to again and again.
A brilliant cast of returning Opera Australia favourites, including Karah Son, Diego Torre, and Warwick Fyfe and some exciting debuts by international artists, Nadine Benjamin, Young Woo Kim and Richard Hayward promises an unforgettable grand opera experience.
Orchestra Victoria, the Opera Australia Chorus and Opera Australia Children’s Chorus join the cast to perform under the baton of conductor, and Music Director of Opera North, Garry Walker.
