Nominated by FeedSpot as Australia’s #1 Theatre Blog Website

Thank you Feedspot for nominating us as Australia’s number 1 theatre blog website.

AussieTheatre.com has been a fixture of the Australian theatre industry since it was established in 2003. Originally operating in a monthly “magazine” format under the name BroadwayAustralia.com, the website underwent a significant transformation in 2006, including a name change to its current form. The following year, its parent company TDE made AussieTheatre.com a top priority, transforming it into a major news service and industry resource for theatre-goers.

Since then, the website has emerged as the premier destination for online theatre content in Australia, with a dedicated team of experienced writers and editors delivering fresh and exciting news, features, columns, podcasts, and more. The website has undergone several redesigns and upgrades, adapting to changing technology and user needs over the years.

Under the stewardship of founding editor Troy Dodds, AussieTheatre.com broke traffic records and became a vital voice in Australian theatre journalism. After Biscuit Rabbit Pty Ltd took ownership of the site in 2011, Erin James and Matt Edwards ran the business as co-directors, overseeing another redesign and further growth in readership and engagement.

In 2019, the site transitioned to new ownership and management under Peter J Snee as Editor in Chief and Sean McLoughlin as Digital Director. The website underwent yet another redesign to support technological advancements and the growing archive of content from its over 16-year history.

Throughout its history, AussieTheatre.com has broken some of the biggest stories in Australian theatre and provided a platform for emerging talent to showcase their work. Today, it remains a vital and respected voice in the industry, with a loyal readership and a commitment to celebrating the art and artists of Australian theatre.

Over the years, AussieTheatre.com has grown to become one of the most respected and trusted theatre publications in Australia, renowned for its in-depth reporting, insightful analysis, and passionate advocacy for the arts. The site’s team of writers and editors are all experienced professionals with a deep love and understanding of the theatre, and their work has been recognized with numerous awards and nominations.

In addition to its coverage of the latest musical theatre productions, AussieTheatre.com has also played an important role in promoting and supporting emerging talent, providing a platform for young performers, writers, and directors to showcase their work and connect with industry professionals.

It is lovely to be recognised and we are thrilled to be considered alongside so many other incredible websites.

As a team, we have worked tirelessly to create a platform that not only provides valuable information to our audience but also celebrates the art of theatre in all its forms. To be acknowledged for our efforts is a true testament to the passion and dedication that we pour into our work every day.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the FeedSpot team for this nomination, but by no means should it discredit the fantastic work of all our peers. It means the world to us, and we promise to continue providing quality content and engaging experiences to our readers.

Thank you again for your recognition and support.

Sincerely,

AussieTheatre.com
