New Theatre Company and New Show for Sydney

Margi De Ferranti, Geraldine Turner, Katrina Retallick, Meredith O’Reilly and Caitlin Berry – all fierce and fabulous performers in their own right – will join together this winter for the Sydney Premiere of Ruthless! The Musical.

Producer Alistair Thomson and director Lisa Freshwater have a new independent theatre company, The Theatre Division, which will produce the Sydney Premiere season of Ruthless! playing an exclusive three-week season from 20 June to 5 July 2014 as part of The 2014 Reginald Season at The Seymour Centre.

The Theatre Division is an emerging independent theatre company established in 2014 by producer Thomson and Freshwater to develop, produce and tour popular, innovative live entertainment.

Productions will range from intimate solo shows and regional tours to concerts and large-scale theatrical productions.

The Theatre Division is the culmination of Thomson and Freshwater’s creative partnership that has seen the production of the charity concerts Raise the Roof! and Hats Off! as well as the Launchpad cabaret seasons.

Freshwater directed the new Australian musicals Every Single Saturday and Life Force and Thomson produced the Sydney premiere of Follies.
