The Devil Wears Prada is headed for the Broadway stage, according to empireonline.com, with music for the new musical by Sir Elton John and Paul Rudnick.
Based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger and made famous by the 2006 film starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, The Devil Wears Prada focuses on the fashion world of magazine boss Miranda Priestly (Streep) and aspiring journalist Andy Sachs (Hathaway).

According the empireonline, Fox Stage Productions and Elton John’s Rocket Entertainment company are producing this new musical. No casting or dates have been confirmed at this point, but with Meryl’s past associations with musicals (Into The Woods and Mamma Mia!) we could only hope she might be among those in talks for the production!
