Ok Boys! Get ready to let it all hang out. After 11 years Off Broadway, the phenomenon that is Naked Boys Singing is preparing to head down under… (ahem, to Australia), and they are looking for an Australian cast!   Three of the greatest words in the English language combine to form the (very literal) title for this hilarious musical comedy – Naked Boys Singing! The show has played to packed houses in New York City filled with bachelorettes, gays, mums, husbands, girls and boyfriends and now producer/director of Naked Boys Singing, Jonathan Worsley, is looking for eight male Australian performers keen to shuck their clothes, strut their stuff and sing in the buff. Naked Boys Singing kicks down the taboo of the male body; yes, you’ll blush at first, but prepare to be thoroughly entertained with a collection of toe-tappin’ songs including ‘Gratuitous Nudity’, ‘The Bliss of a Bris’, ‘Fight the Urge’, ‘Perky Little Porn Star’, ‘The Naked Maid’ and the laughable lyrics about how-to tenderize-your-meat in ‘Jack’s Song’. Auditions will be held on December 8 and applicants should email their interest to info@nakedboyssinging.com.au  “Nudity on stage might been shocking during the era of Hair but this isn’t a show that sets out to shock; it’s genuinely surprising how after the first number you just accept the fact that everyone has all their bits out. It is nothing but good clean naked fun,” said Worsley.  “Naked Boys Singing is a musical comedy for everyone of legal drinking age, funny songs about awkward moments we’ve all been in or can empathize with – and laughing at the ones we haven’t.” Australia’s previous production was Directed by Jeremy Cumpston and choreographed by the late Ross Coleman. Naked Boys Singing will tour NSW and the ACT after a Sydney season in March 2012. More details announced shortly. www.nakedboyssinging.com.au
