More tickets on sale for Light The Night

Following an overwhelming response to initial ticket sales, more tickets have been released for the Light the Night charity concert on Monday, October 19 at 7.30pm at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place, to be hosted by Maggie Kirkpatrick and Foxtel’s Brendan Moar.

Stars performing at this year’s concert include the cast of the Broadway musical Wicked, charismatic singer-songwriter Lior, songstress Katie Noonan, pop sensation Andy Bull, Australia’s king of swing David Campbell, extraordinary jazz vocalist Emma Pask, guitar sensation Nathan Cavaleri, opera virtuoso and winner of Australia’s Got Talent Mark Vincent, Australia’s leading man of musical theatre David Harris, Australian Idol sensation Matt Corby, breathtaking singer/actress Ursula Yovich, musical comedy act Tripod, contemporary a cappella group The Idea of North, puppets from the smash-hit Broadway musical Avenue Q and Trevor Ashley in a special appearance as Liza.

Now in its fifth year, Light the Night has become an extremely popular annual charity concert. To date, funds raised at this event have exceeded $200,000 and all proceeds go towards leukaemia research.

Light the Night is inspired by Matthew Rennie, a brave young man who fought a three year battle against leukaemia. Unfortunately Matthew passed away in October 2007, shortly before that year’s concert. Light the Night was created by Matthew’s two brothers, musical theatre performers Shaun Rennie and Adam Rennie, and friends Monica Smith and Greg Smith.

Light the Night is at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place, Sydney. Bookings: (02) 8256 2222 or online at www.cityrecitalhall.com
