An exciting new collaboration from esteemed Director and Choreographer Michael Ralph (Dusty, Georgy Girl) and composer Jack Earle (The Jack Earle Big Band), Self is an examination of the human psyche and condition through theatre and dance.
A premiere production for the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Self stars Rohan Browne (Singin’ in the Rain, Strictly Ballroom) in the lead role of “The Artist,” supported by an ensemble of six phenomenal dancers and a 7-piece orchestra playing Earle’s original “modern jazz-inspired” score.
Ralph describes the show as “very personal” with a plot that “explores what it’s like to be an artist and an adult in modern times.” Additionally, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to performing arts mental health organisation Entertainment Assist.
Self will be playing at Chapel Off Chapel from September 21st to October 1st.
Tickets are available at the Chapel Off Chapel website.
