Sydney has gone mad for Legally Blonde the musical, and to celebrate Sydney’s hottest show, Hoyts are hosting a screening of the original Legally Blonde movie at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter on Sunday 14 October at 7pm.

Cast members from the musical will be in attendance to watch the film they are lovingly re-creating each night, and a special Q&A with the stars will take place before the film commences. Tickets for the event are just $10, and AussieTheatre understands there are some fabulous prizes on offer for audience members!

Producer John Frost has repeatedly described the show as “100% pure entertainment”, and it seems audiences and critics agree. Currently playing at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre starring Lucy Durack, Rob Mills, David Harris and Cameron Daddo, Legally Blonde The Musical, like the film it is based on, doesn’t take itself too seriously and has been dubbed by AussieTheatre’s reviewer Cassie Tongue as “ridiculously fun”.

“There are cheerleaders, the infamous ‘bend and snap’ from the film, flamboyance, more “omigods” than you ever could have expected and there’s also a shout-out to leprechauns. It has a giant heart but it also has a fantastic sense of humor”, she said in her review.

So head along to see the inspiration for this wonderful musical this Sunday, meet the stars and ask those burning questions! It’s going to be a great night out!
