Maverick Newman in Conversation…

Green Room Award winning performer and composer, Maverick Newman makes his Hayes debut with the hilarious MAVERICK NEWMAN IN CONVERSATION WITH MAVERICK NEWMAN.

Part-modern-Chautauqua, part-orchestrated-breakdown, Maverick will sing original songs and express unoriginal ideas in the hope that he will have found an appropriate use for his mania, neurosis and various other talents his family find infuriating.

Kurt Vonnegut:

If you really want to hurt your parents, and you don’t have the nerve to be gay, the least you can do is go into the arts.

Maverick not only has the nerve to be gay and the recklessness to go into the arts, he more importantly has the audacity to write a synopsis in the third person so as to seem he can afford a publicist. Despite its modest title, the show will involve one of the most handsome moderators spending an evening with one of Australia’s most unknown, and frankly unstable, rhetoricians.
