Mary Poppins auditions flood in

If it was a marketing ploy, it has worked a treat.

Performers desperate to play the role of Mary in the forthcoming Australian production of Mary Poppins have started posting video auditions on YouTube.

Some are…. not great. Some, however, show some potential.

And there’s a couple of professional musical theatre performers who have posted videos too, showing just how tight competition is.

Producers last week encouraged aspiring performers to post auditions online after they failed to find a Mary through the usual audition process.
