Coverage of the game can be seen on channel 9 from 7:30pm AEST with the national anthem set to be performed at 8:08pm. Full broadcast details are available at theroar.com.au

When speaking to AussieTheatre about the honour Lucy said:

“I’m so excited! My husband Chris is a HUGE Queensland supporter so the state of origin is a massive event in our household. We’re all very excited to be here and watch it live.”

Her husband, Chris Horsey added “my team has already won the national anthem. (?)”.

This is not the first time Lucy has stepped up to the mic at the State of Origin, having also performed the national anthem in the 2012 series.

The Wizard of Oz opens in Brisbane in November and will transfer to Sydney in December 2017.  Lucy will be appearing alongside WICKED alumni Jemma Rix and Australian musical theatre great Anthony Warlow.

Tickets are available now at: Wizardofozthemusical.com
