Last day for 2012 Melbourne Fringe registrations
Today (Friday 1 June) is the final day to complete Melbourne Fringe Festival registrations with submissions closing at 5pm this afternoon.
The Melbourne Fringe Festival allows artists and producers to take creative risks, develop skills and present new work to a large and committed audience, and in 2012 the festival celebrates its 30th year making it Victoria’s longest running arts event.
Last year, the Melbourne Fringe Festival presented the work of 3,393 artists in 330 shows at 141 venues and locations across Victoria. More than one quarter of a million people attended the festival in 2011 and this year the audience numbers are expected to grow.
Registration costs $360 for ticketed shows ($250 for one-off or free shows) and this covers a wide range of marketing and administrative costs as well as ensuring ongoing support and mentoring from the Melbourne Fringe team.
