KATE WALDER returns to AussieTheatre

AussieTheatre’s regular column lineup just hasn’t been the same without the dry wit and self deprecating humour of actress, writer and singer Kate Walder.

In 2009, Kate joined the AussieTheatre team to pen ‘Coffee With’ column, which focused on the life of a first year WAAPA graduate, and their experiences in the industry.

Now in 2012, Kate is back to write a weekly column about her take on the theatre industry, with her tongue firmly planted in her cheek.

“It just felt like time to unleash my existential rants upon the theatre-going public again”, she said.

After moving to London in 2009 Kate played the role of Clio in La Dispute at the Soho Theatre and subsequently at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Since returning to Sydney, Kate has written and performed her one-woman show Coffee with Kate: the Cabaret at the 2010 inaugural Sydney Fringe Festival, a show based on the columns she wrote for AussieTheatre.

Stay tuned for Kate’s return column, online soon at AussieTheatre!
