Open auditions were held in New York over the weekend for the film adaptation of the smash hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys, which is set to commence filming in NYC next year.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the Jersey Boys movie is also allowing online audition submissions for the Four Seasons (Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi and Tommy De Vito).

Production company GK Films (Hugo, Dark Shadows, The Town) have set up an online audition notice with details and scenes/songs to learn and film.

Visit the Jersey Boys movie website to download all the necessary material here.

Jersey Boys Australia is currently playing in Brisbane at the Lyric Theatre QPAC and is set to transfer to Adelaide in October ahead of a return Melbourne season in 2013.

Chookas to all! Deadline for online submissions is Tuesday 4 September, 2012.
