They say it’s never too early to get introduced to theatre.
They say it’s never too early to get introduced to theatre.
And, of course, we all remember that first theatrical experience.
Kids can enjoy the magic of live theatre and join James and his friends as they sail into QPAC in a giant peach these school holidays in James And The Giant Peach.
After his parents are killed in a tragic accident involving a rhinoceros, James is sent to live with his aunts, Spiker and Sponge, in a dilapidated old house by the sea. The aunts are selfish and treat him poorly, until one day he meets an old man who gives him a bag containing the strongest magic in the world. But when James accidentally spills it near the old peach tree, the most marvellous things begin to happen and his adventure across the sea aboard a giant peach begins.
Roald Dahl’s beloved classic comes to life on stage in this spellbinding production the whole family will enjoy. Take a trip across the ocean with James and his new friends: Centipede, Earthworm, Grasshopper, Ladybird and Spider as they set sail for New York and a life of wonderful adventures.
“Kids these days are so used to technology, television and cinema to entertain themselves but there’s something truly magical about seeing your favourite story come to life on stage, it’s a moment your child will never forget,” Director Tim O’Connor said.
“When I was a kid my parents took me to see the theatre and I could still remember the wonderment and magic of that experience. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to now create that sort of experience for children today and James And The Giant Peach will be a truly mind blowing and enchanting adventure for children and the inner child in all of us.”
