The Adelaide Festival Centre has added husband and wife duo Mark Kalin and Jinger Leigh to their 2012 New Years Eve magical spectacular The Illusionists.
Kalin and Leigh (The Gentleman and The Enchantress) are known for their large-scale stage shows and numerous TV appearances in America including World's Greatest Magic 2 in 1995 and Hidden Secrets Of Magic in 1996. The pair were voted Magicians of the Year (1998) by the Academy of Magical Arts officially bringing them into the same league as the likes of David Copperfield and Penn & Teller
The Illusionists brings together the full gamut of internationally renown magicians for all the spellbinding tricks, levitation, disappearances, escapes and mind-reading the genre is loved for.
New Year's Eve celebrations will continue in the Festival Centre Banquet Room after the performance and from 10:30 onwards, audience members will be free to mingle with the magicians. The banquet room is also the perfect place to watch the traditional fireworks display over the River Torrens.
Partygoers at the Adelaide Festival Centre will be entertained by local funk and soul singer Jayne-Anne Power along with burlesque dance from Bella Rogue – an all female trio who bring their bombastic impersonations of Madonna, Tina Turner, Cher, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyonce and more all the way from New York City's famous Rainbow Room.
The Illusionists runs from New years Eve 2012 until the 12th of January 2013.
