Poll RaeHold on to your everything, Sydney, Miss Polly Rae and the Hurly Burly Girlys are coming all the way from London to start the New Year with a bang. The UK’s finest burlesque troupe, led by Miss Polly Rae — whom our Kylie herself calls a “phenomenal performer” — will from the 5th of January fill the Factory Theatre with the kind of non-stop pop erotic cabaret that’s sure to make you a little hot under the collar. Be seduced by the group who has the United Kingdom eating out of their hands from Soho to the West End. Winners of Best Troupe at the 2007 Ministry of Burlesque Awards, Miss Polly Rae and the Hurly Burly Girlys, with assistance from director William Baker, the mastermind behind most of Kylie Minogue’s looks (including a certain little white catsuit from the ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ music video) also styled Britney’s 2009 Circus tour, and he brings his decadent, glamorous eye to the already-glamorous, sublime Miss Polly Rae and the Hurly Burly Girlys. Polly RaeThis all-singing, all-dancing burlesque-inspired revue marries burlesque and bawdy cabaret with modern fashion, music, and pop culture. Miss Polly Rae and her Girlys are fun, playful, and all about the tease. Don’t worry if you start to feel a little flushed, who could resist a sumptuously choreographed, breathy, sexually charged take on revamped favourites by artists such as Madonna, Rihanna, and the King of Pop himself? An Evening With Miss Polly Rae & The Hurly Burly Girlys is coming. You might just be bewitched.  The Factory Theatre105 Victoria Road, Marrickville Dates: 5- 15 January 2012Performances: Thursday – Saturday8pmSTRICTLY 18+ Bookings: www.hurlyburly.com.au or phone (02) 9550 3666
