The cast of the brand new Arena Spectacular How To Train Your Dragon have just completed their second week of intensive rehearsals at Sydney’s Fox Studios. We caught up with two stars of the production, Rarmian Newton and Sarah McCreanor for an exclusive video interview. 

The cast of the brand new Arena Spectacular How To Train Your Dragon have just completed their second week of intensive rehearsals at Sydney’s Fox Studios. We caught up with two stars of the production, Rarmian Newton and Sarah McCreanor for an exclusive video interview.  

 

 

17 year old Rarmian Newton won an Helpmann Award for his portrayal of Billy in Billy Elliot The Musical (2008) and joins the How To Train Your Dragon cast as young Viking hero Hiccup. Due to the demabds of this leading role, Rarmian will share the part with young Hollywood actor Riley Miner, also an accomplished dancer and musical theatre performer.

19 year old Sarah McCreanor from Queensland will be taking on the lead role of Astrid the finest dragon slayer amongst the crew, and with her myriad of skills in acting, dance, circus and acrobatics director Nigel Jamieson says she is “a sight to behold”. 

Sarah will share the role of Astrid with American stunt performer Gemma Nguyen, a third degree Black Belt and six-time world champion in Tae Kwon Do.

How To Train Your Dragon is set to open in Melbourne on March 2 2012 ahead of an Australian and International Tour.
