Hayes Theatre Co announce first four productions of 2017

Last night in Potts Point, the darling of the Sydney independent theatre scene – Hayes Theatre Co – announced their first four productions for the 2017 season at a special ‘coming soon’ preview.  Hosted by David Campbell, the event included performances by Stephen Madsen, Tyran Parke and irrepressible Virginia Gay.

The announcement included Calamity Jane, the first Neglected Musicals musical to be extended into a full production. Neglected Musicals presents short rehearsed readings of musicals that have never (or rarely) been produced in Australia. Producer Michelle Guthrie said of their 2016 production of Calamity Jane “The reaction to the presentations last August was immense; it’s wonderful that Richard Carroll is now taking this wonderful classic and fully realising it in a new production.”
