Kids with an interest in live performance are being urged to attend a special presentation of Actor On A Box: The Dreaming at the Sydney Theatre.
In Actor On A Box: The Dreaming, director Leah Purcell will lead young audiences back to the very beginnings of Pamanyungun, respectfully sharing stories passed on to her about the great spiritual powers of the ancestors and the awakening of the land – Wake Up Australia!
Performed by Angeline Penrith, Actor On A Box: The Dreaming, will fuse traditional and contemporary storytelling with movement and music, humour and play, to create a very special dream time experience for children.
The latest Actor On A Box will be joyful and playful experience, created by Purcell to make some of her people’s precious stories accessible to children and families from all communities.
Staged in the Richard Wherrett Studio at the Sydney Theatre, STC Ed’s Actor On A Box series is theatre designed to create a space for imaginations to soar, curiosity to sharpen and wonder to take flight.
The performances are an enchanting experience of theatre for children – and those big people lucky enough to accompany them.
