Goulburn Theatre set for upgrade

The Lieder Theatre in Goulburn will undergo an upgrade after the Veolia Mulwaree Trust provided a grant.

The Goulburn Post reports that the $22,000 grant will enable the theatre to purchase a range of new equipment to use in productions, as well as new stage curtains.

“The foyer area of the historic theatre, which is regularly used as a performance and meeting space, will have new innovative lighting and seating cushions installed,” a spokesperson for the Veollia Mulwaree Trust said.

Also included in the project is funding to restore the historic theatre seating.

The theatre itself will also fund other improvements.
