Going LIVE on Facebook with the MUST Cabaret Festival 2020

Sit back, relax and be entertained!

You are invited to a diverse, two-week festival filled with dynamic performances of music, theatre, comedy, burlesque and more – and all from the comfort of your own home! The Monash Uni Student Theatre (MUST) Cabaret Festival will continue to wow audiences in its fifth year, live streaming through the MUST Facebook page (facebook.com/musttheatre) from Wednesday to Friday, October 21st to October 30th.

Embrace an exceptional array of acts each night, as MUST CabFest goes global with interstate and established performers joining the line-up! Including performances from MUST alumni like renowned magician Alex de la Rambelje (Gentlemen of Deceit), gender transcendent diva Mama Alto, Moosehead winning comedian Oliver Coleman and juggler extraordinaire Joe Fisher (Phat Cab Club, Absinthe in Las Vegas), the festival celebrates proud MUST alumni, current MUST students and guest artists.

Our much-loved specialty nights return in 2020, with Queer Night proudly celebrating everything queer on October 23rd (curated by Bianca Montagner & Paris Balla) and Comedy Night – sure to get you giggling on October 29th (curated by Elly D’Arcy (Zesty Bangers) and Max Paton (Kevin Peterson’s Stand-Up Show!).

This year we’re also introducing New Music Night on October 22nd. Curated by Logan Trask, it will celebrate original music from fantastic emerging artists in the wider MUST community, an “impressive breeding ground for talent in recent years.” (The Music)

MUST is an engine room of creativity, a department of the Monash Student Association that creates vibrant, innovative theatre by and with Monash students, for everybody.
“… MUST consistently produces top tier theatrical performance.” (Danny Delahunty, Melbourne Fringe) “…They create the kind of theatre that blows me away every time…” (Anne Marie Peard, Sometimes Melbourne)
