Geoffrey Rush to star in Melbourne season of Forum?

According to an article in The Age this morning (Rush goes Roman for next musical) Melbourne could be receiving a production of Stephen Sondheim’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum later this year,  Geoffrey Rush.

LAST year he donned a dress and a fur collar to play Oscar Wilde’s Lady Bracknell. This year, Geoffrey Rush will be pulling on a toga to play the lusty slave Pseudolus in the Stephen Sondheim musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

Rush goes Roman for next musical

According to the article the production would be directed by Simon Phillips, produced by John Frost and open at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne in November.

John Frost had no comment at this time.
