For the first time in its 30 year history, Arts Centre Melbourne has a Principal Partner

Making artistic performances “more accessible” was a key factor in Arts Centre Melbourne’s decision to bring Bank of Melbourne on board as its first ever Principal Partner, and what better reason is there?

According to an official press release, the Partnership will enable four key programming initiatives in 2016 and support plans for change and ambitious excellence in 2016 and beyond.

“Arts Centre Melbourne has gone through a process of transformation over the past two years, thanks to the generous support of government, corporate partners and private individuals. We look forward to collaborating with Bank of Melbourne as we roll out the welcome mat next year and beyond,” Arts Centre Melbourne’s CEO, Claire Spencer said today.

Arts Centre Melbourne already has a host of wonderful ongoing initiatives in place for artists, artists-in-training and the arts loving community. From the Melbourne Arts Walk to the free public arts participation projects found in the Betty Amsden Participation Program. From the Performing Arts Collection to the First Call Fund – a subsidy program for Victorian primary and secondary school and community groups facing barriers of access to live performances due to distance, disadvantage or special circumstance – Arts Centre Melbourne enriches the Victorian arts community every day.

With this Principal Partnership now in place with Bank of Melbourne, great things are in store for the Victorian arts community and its audiences.
