First look at Dream Lover, Sydney!

Over the last decade or so, Simon Phillips has contributed significantly to the Australian musical theatre scene, directing some of our most successful new works including the Helpmann Award winning Ladies In Black, international juggernaut Priscilla Queen of the Desert – The Musical, the immortalised production of Love Never Dies,  the soon-to-be cast Muriel’s Wedding – The Musical and of course Dream Lover – The Bobby Darin Musical.

Opening night for Dream Lover (starring David Campbell) is fast approaching and as Australia’s newest offering in the musical theatre realm, there is much anticipation and excitement surrounding the work. As is the case with most works Phillips directs, this production is sure to be the talk of the town!

Photographer Dayna Ransley snapped these exclusive images this week to bring AussieTheatre readers a glimpse into the glittering world of Dream Lover at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre.

  • Went to see Dream Lover at the Lyric on Saturday p.m. The show is superb. Fabulous sound and lighting. David Campbell's performance is fabulous.

I look forward to seeing this again when "The show hits the road" and Melbourne audiences have the opportunity to see this wonderful show.

A big well done to everyone associated with the show.
