EQ Endeavours launches first national Graduate’s Guide program for January 2022

After a decade of sold-out workshops throughout Australia, including New Voices and The Singing Actor, Co-Founders of creative training company EQ Endeavours, Matthew Lee Robinson and Scott Morris, offer their first national graduate to industry bridging program, which serves as aftercare for musical theatre graduates of Bachelor and Diploma courses.

“I’m consistently approached by performing arts graduates experiencing the same concerns,” says Robinson, the Graduate’s Guide Creator and Course Leader. “How do I create structure? How do I balance desire and rejection? How do I write an email and get a response?” Robinson and Morris say the answer lies in a curated study of Framework, Mindset, Presentation and Supporters.

January 2022 Graduate’s Guide participants will:

  • Receive a guided framework of the industry.
  • Identify and build out their team.
  • Create their personal elevator pitch.
  • Shape their biography.
  • Dissect the anatomy of an effective email and how to elicit a response.
  • Learn how to formulate a support network.
  • Establish rehearsal room and backstage etiquette.
  • Canvass options for creation of their own work.
  • Develop anxiety-processing techniques.

Robinson and Morris themselves, now New York-based, are at the top of their game when it comes to Australians getting things done. A WAAPA graduate himself, Robinson has recently sold an original animated musical feature film to DreamWorks Animation, while Morris has recently served as Dance Captain for the out-of-town tryout of new musical Bliss at The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle. Together, their philosophy for EQ Endeavours is providing tailored creative training that emphasises streamlined, efficient and intuitive outcomes, including group workshops that cover terrain not offered elsewhere.

Robinson adds, “If performers need it, we’re here for them, and the Graduate’s Guide pillars of entrepreneurship, inspiration and resilience are utterly necessary.”
