Episode 5 – Inside the Australian Ballet

The Australian Ballet are celebrating their Golden Anniversary this year and a special 10 part web series (A Year Inside The Australian Ballet) has been made to commemorate 50 golden years.

In this episode, during rehearsals for Onegin, 28 year old Senior Artist Amy Harris and 20 year old Corps de Ballet member Jake Mangakahia talk about a dancer’s connection to music and the excitement of performing with a live orchestra.

Featuring rare footage from within the orchestra pit as the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra play Tchaikovsky and wing-side views of Onegin dress rehearsals.
