Baz Luhrmann’s iconic film-turned-musical, which premiered in Sydney in April and is set to transfer to Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne from January 2015 opened to mixed reviews. Starring Phoebe Panaretos and Thomas Lacey in the coveted roles of Fran and Scott, the production boasts new material written by am eclectic mix of composers (a la Global Creature’s previous musical undertaking King Kong) and old favourites from the film including ‘Time After Time’, ‘Love Is In The Air’ and ‘Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps’.
