Elaine Paige to tour Australia

Having worked professionally in the world of theatre for over four decades, international musical theatre legend Elaine Paige will be touring Australia in a series of nationwide concerts this year.

Her sold our 2009 tour paved the way for Paige’s producers, Lennard Promotions, to bring this bona fide star back to Australia for six concerts in six cities this October.

After making her West End debut in 1968, Paige emerged as a star in the role of Eva Perón in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s original production of Evita ten years later. She also created the role of Grizabella in Cats, recording the song ‘Memory’, which became a Top 10 Hit.

Paige is well known for numerous other West End and Broadway productions including Anything Goes, Piaf, Sunset Boulevard in London and Broadway, The King and I, Sweeney Todd, The Misanthrope, Where There’s A Will and The Drowsy Chaperone.

Honoured with an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Musical Theatre in 1995, Paige has performed concerts worldwide at venues ranging from The White House to The Great Hall of the People in Beijing to Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre. Paige’s 2012 Australian tour will recreate many of her starring roles in the biggest musicals of the modern era.

This celebration of a life on stage is a tour not to be missed.
