Draxl To Perform In New York

It was announced today that Australian actor and cabaret performer Tim Draxl has been invited to perform at the prestigious New York Cabaret Convention at the Lincoln Centre in New York in October.

The convention, which features the top singers and cabaret artists from around the world, is a long-running special yearly event in New York’s arts calendar.

Other past Australian artists who have performed at the Convention include David Campbell, Judi Connelli, Kane Alexander, Shaun Rennie, Peter J Casey and Draxl himself who first performed there in 1999.

Draxl opens his new show in Sydney tomorrow night.

Draxl performed in New York in cabaret in January this year, his first performance in the city in nine years.

The classy performer made his New York cabaret debut at the ripe age of 17 when he also became the youngest person ever to perform at the New York Cabaret Convention.

This will be his first performance at the Convention since then.
