Confirmed: Driving Miss Daisy heading to Perth

The acclaimed production of Driving Miss Daisy, starring theatrical legends Angela Lansbury, James Earl Jones and Boyd Gaines will be heading to Perth for a limited season following previously announced dates in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

The extra season was added after alterations were made to Lansbury, Jones and Gaines’ schedules in order to ensure Perth audiences had the incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see three theatrical legends live on stage.

The Pulitzer Prize winning play by Alfred Uhry’s sold out its Brisbane season and is well on the way to selling out in other states.

When the production rolls into His Majesty’s Theatre from June 8, it will play for just 12 performances, and tickets are expected to run out the door.

“I’m thrilled that Angela, James Earl and Boyd have been able to alter their schedules to allow Perth audiences to share in this wonderful and moving production”, said Producer John Frost.

“It is truly a rare and exceptional opportunity for Australian audiences to see a cast of Broadway and Hollywood royalty in one of the most enduring and popular stage plays of our time. After the sell-out season in Brisbane, audiences in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and now Perth should prepare for an extraordinary experience!”
