At the Seymour Centre during National Reconciliation Week 2014, awareness will be raised of both historical and contemporary experiences of the first Australians. Part of the varied and vivid line-up is the performance of a brand new work, Djuki Mala, created by the group of the same name (Djuki Mala, or, The Chooky Dancers).
Djuki Mala are a group that fuse traditional Aboriginal and contemporary forms of dance, comedy and clowning. They come from the Galiwin’ku community (Elcho Island) in North East Arnhem Land.
