Celebrate Australia’s First Flavours with Renowned Chef Mark Olive with The Red Gum Dinner at Adelaide Festival Centre

Adelaide Festival Centre is set to celebrate Australia’s first flavours at The Red Gum Dinner as part of this year’s Tasting Australia. Join legendary Bundjalung chef Mark Olive, acclaimed star of ‘The Outback Cafe’ and celebrity judge on SBS’s ‘The Chef’s Line’, in a culinary and cultural journey on the banks of the Karrawirra Parri (River Torrens) in the Adelaide Festival Centre Banquet Room on Saturday May 3.

Chef Mark Olive will showcase his incredible expertise through a wonderful four-course dinner celebrating Australia’s first flavours. In the spirit of Olive’s Sydney Opera House restaurant, Midden, the menu for The Red Gum Dinner draws on his masterful fusion of native ingredients with contemporary cuisine, where each dish pays homage to land and culture.

Chef, Mark Olive:

I can’t wait to share the incredible flavours of our Australian native cuisine with Munda Wines and special performances at The Red Gum Dinner at Adelaide Festival Centre as part of Tasting Australia. I hope you can join us for what promises to be a wonderful night.

Joining Mark Olive on the night and complimenting this unique dining experience will be Munda Wines director, Wirangu and Kokatha descendent, Paul Vandenberghwho together with Mark will guide diners through pairings, with the two sharing stories of the origin and culture of their produce.

Munda Wines is an indigenous owned wine business that celebrates Country, culture and storytelling through premium Australian wines. Each bottle connects to the land and its Traditional Custodians, sharing the deep histories and identities of First Nations people.

Munda Wines Director, Paul Vandenbergh:

I’m excited to bring Munda Wines to The Red Gum Dinner, where we can share not just our wines but the stories, people and Country behind them. This event is a unique opportunity to connect over food, culture and a deep appreciation for indigenous storytelling through wine and food.

The Red Gum Dinner will celebrate exceptional food and wine, arts and entertainment for one special night at Adelaide Festival Centre.
