CATS premiered in London in 1981, playing for 21 years. The Broadway production followed two years later, and it ran for 18 years – this is a bona fide hit. CATS has been staged in more than 30 countries, been translated in 15 languages, and has won Tonys, Oliviers, Grammys, and many more awards. The well-known standard “Memory” is a CATS original that has made its way into popular consciousness.

This  production is based on the 2015 Olivier Award-nominated staging from London, which was reworked by the original creative team – Director Trevor Nunn, Associate Director and Choreographer Gillian Lynne, Designer John Napier and Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber .

This hit revival introduces a rapping ‘street cat’ in the famous Rum Tum Tugger role, who will perform some serious breakdancing moves – TS Eliot would have never seen it coming.
