Cast announced for DUNGEONS & DRAGONS The Twenty-Sided Tavern

The party has been gathered and the campaign has commenced for the Australasian premiere of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS The Twenty-Sided Tavern at the Sydney Opera House this summer.

Rehearsals for the award-winning show are now underway, with Michael Fell, resident director of the Off-Broadway production, joining the eight-strong locally assembled troupe as they prepare for the Australian season.

Bringing the adventure to the stage is Dungeon Master William Kasper (he/him) who, alongside Tavern Keeper Zoë Harlen (she/they), stand ready to shape the world of The Twenty-Sided Tavern. The rest of the crew includes Warrior Atlas Adams (he/him), Spellcaster Eleanor Stankiewicz (she/her) and Trickster Trubie-Dylan Smith (he/him). Rounding out the party is Sonya Kerr (she/her) as the bar swing, and Emma Throssell (she/her) and Davey Seagle (he/they) as the player swings.

The world of DUNGEONS & DRAGONS The Twenty-Sided Tavern and characters are brought to life by scenic and costume design K.C. McGeorge (they/them), character artist Noah Ruff (he/him), lighting designer Mike Wood (he/him), projection designers Derek Christiansen (they/them) and Ruby O’Brien (they/them), composer Benjamin Doherty (he/him) and sound designer M. Glenn Schuster (they/them).

Speaking about the theatrical adventure, Michael Fell, Director:

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS is a melding of my two favourite things – improvisational storytelling and games. When this production came along, it ticked every single box of things I’m good at and love.

It was kismet! Directing this season at the Sydney Opera House is a thrilling opportunity, the calibre of work presented here is incredibly high. There is such joy in performing, and playing the game, in the Twenty-Sided Tavern. I hope Australian audiences experience this when enjoying each night’s quest and the great thing is you don’t even need to know a thing about D&D to still have an incredible time at The Tavern.

From 15 December, the Studio will be transformed into The Twenty-Sided Tavern where laughter flows like ale and the escapades never end. During the season, the Tavern and Studio bar will offer plenty of sustenance, with healing potions such as the Wizard’s Brew and Bullywug Fizz as well as a range of rations to satisfy any adventurer’s appetite.
