Dubbed Australia’s Harry Houdini by John Safran and described as slapstick on speed, Captain Ruin (Mitch Jones) is appearing at the Brisbane Festival with his first solo show, One Night Stand.
High energy circus, striptease and daring sideshow stunts depict the real life stories of the friendly neighbourhood anarchist as he travels the world on the wrong side of the law.
Renowned ‘dark clown master’ Derek Ives directs the show that promises to be satirical, playful and a poignant mixture of energy and reflection. Playing at the Metro Arts’ Sue Benner Theatre for Under the Radar, One Night Stand is one of those productions that directs you to enter via the alleyway. Say no more!
Showing at 7pm from September 25 – 29, tickets are just $20 and can be purchased online at www.qtix.com.au
