Botanica – Photo Feature

Momix’s Botanica opened last night at Arts Centre Melbourne and AussieTheatre’s Belinda Strodder was there to capture the magic.

Playing until August 11 at the State Theatre, Botanica is dance at its most organic and inventive, showing off the endlessly renewable energy of Momix’s superb performers, enhanced by spectacular costumes and exquisite projections.

Beautiful and enthralling, Botanica follows the rhythms of the seasons, the changing shape of life on Earth and the passing of a day. Set to an eclectic score ranging from birdsong to Vivaldi, nature’s changing imagery is revealed in Momix’s signature illusionary style.
