Opening tonight at QPAC’s Playhouse Theatre is David Mamet’s American comedy, Boston Marriage.
Presented by The Queensland Theatre Company, the three-hander stars Amanda Muggleton, along with Rachel Gordon and Helen Cassidy.
Directed by Andrea Moor, winner of a Matilda Award for directing the sizzling production of Venus in Fur for QTC in 2013, Boston Marriage is a sharp witted play that chips away at the pretensions of high society and class distinction, while exploring the compromise needed to keep a marriage alive.
The Wardrobe department has been especially busy for this veritable frock fest, with the cast donning a number of custom-designed period costumes. Queensland correspondent, Bobbi-Lea, was invited for a special “behind the seams” tour with Vicki Martin, Head of Wardrobe at the Queensland Theatre Company headquarter, as they prepared for the production.
