Belvoir Street Theatre evacuated

The Belvoir Street Theatre in Sydney has been evacuated this morning due to a gas leak.

Around 100 properties have been evacuated in the Surry Hills area as service crews try to repair a ruptured gas line.

Traffic is being diverted around the area, and it is expected that performances scheduled for today will go ahead at Belvoir, with the problem likely to be fixed before Midday.
