Bad Blood Blues: Return Season Announced
The critically-acclaimed Australian Premiere of Bad Blood Blues enjoyed a very successful season at Chapel Off Chapel recently. If you missed it, never fear! An encore season was announced this week for 2012.
Described as the ‘perfect play’, Bad Blood Blues will return to Chapel off Chapel’s The Loft Theatre from the 9th February 2012 for a limited two week run.
Original cast members Glenda Linscott and Blessing Mokgohloa will reprise their roles of Clare and Patrice in this powerful two hander. The production also features original live music from ARIA nominated jazz guitarist David Marama.
Written by British Playwright Paul Sirett and directed by Christopher Parker, Bad Blood Blues is an edge-of-your-seat drama, which brings to life a debate of morality about African drug trials. Set in Africa, this powerfully intense and totally engrossing new play blends confronting issues and humour.
In her review of Bad Blood Blues, AussieTheatre.com’s Rachael Ireson said “Each climatic turn of the plot creeps up on you with genuine surprise. Bad Blood Blues is a play you would be crazy not to see.”
Manilla Street Productions is excited to bring this powerful and thought provoking play back to Melbourne audiences. Don’t miss it!
