Arts Centre Melbourne’s Big Night In with John Foreman announces first round of guests in Season 2

Arts Centre Melbourne’s Big Night In with John Foreman is back for a second season with a whole new line-up of stars from Wednesday 9 September until Wednesday 14 October as part of Arts Centre Melbourne’s digital program Together With You.

The first two episodes will feature the winner of The X Factor 2016 and most recent contestant on The Masked Singer as The Wizard, Isaiah Firebrace; Australia’s crooner sensation and winner of The Voice 2013 Harrison Craig; and opera singer and ABC Classic broadcaster Greta Bradman.

Denise Scott

Firebrace will treat audiences to two songs including ‘What Happened To Us’ and his latest single ‘Know Me Better’, Craig will tear at the heartstrings with ‘Unchained Melody’ and Bradman will spellbind audiences with her rendition of ‘Last Rose of Summer’.

Regular guest Gretel Killeen will return for all six episodes as social commentator and guests from Victoria Together’s The Standup Sessions and Celebrity Sandwich will drop by including comedian Denise Scott and the king of Italian cooking Guy Grossi.

Episode 1 – Wednesday 9 September at 7 pm: Isaiah Firebrace and Denise Scott
Episode 2
– Wednesday 16 September at 7 pm: Harrison Craig, Greta Bradman and Guy Grossi

The six new episodes will see John Foreman and the Aussie Pops Orchestra join these artists and musicians live in their own homes to make music, which has been integral to the joyful experience Big Night In offers to online audiences.

“I am super excited to be a part of Big Night In! I’ve had such a great time working with John Foreman and the Aussie Pops Orchestra and it’s so great that we can all come together for this incredible initiative. It’s been super hard to be away from family and friends whilst in lockdown but doing things like this and making incredible music have kept lots of us going during this time,” says Firebrace.

The two Encore Episodes recently broadcast via Together With You and the upcoming second season of Big Night In were made possible through funding from the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC), as part of Victoria Together. The government is using Victoria Together to keep people connected to art, learning and entertainment while they can’t experience it live. The DPC is not a content producer and as such is providing funding to organisations that can produce interesting content and programming that talks to a diversity of audiences and experiences.

Arts Centre Melbourne announced it had postponed welcoming visitors back to its venues in accordance with the most recent Victorian Government guidelines on COVID-19. The ghost lights will stay on a little longer as Arts Centre Melbourne focuses on finding new ways to engage with audiences, including the digital online hub – Together With You. • It’d be wonderful if both Anthony Callea and Mark Vincent, two of the finest Australian singers, could be included in these “Big Night In” digital concerts.
