The job opportunity

The Senior Digital Producer Video will work to manage end-to-end production of multimedia content, reporting to the Manager, Digital.

The successful applicant will:

• Be responsible for liaison with suppliers, internal and external stakeholder management, hands-on content development, production planning, quality assurance and testing,

• Develop and produce concepts for multimedia content production,

• Oversee, guide and contribute to the development of digital video and audio products including liaison with stakeholders in relation to designs, storyboards, specifications, motion graphics, videography and editing,

• Manage project budgets, resourcing and delivery schedules relating to individual projects and outputs,

• Maintain an excellent level of project administration and reporting in line with the Museum’s record management policy and project management methodology,

• Contribute to the development and management of new partnership and collaboration opportunities for digital content,

• Supervise and provide guidance to staff and contractors as required,

• Ensure they have sufficient supervision, instruction and equipment to undertake their work safely.

What will the successful candidate bring to the role?

The ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager with a thorough understanding of the product development life cycle. They will write clear project briefs and tender documents and work collaboratively with colleagues and external contractors to deliver results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of digital video products and experience in navigating their way through complex organisational and project structures.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding and working knowledge of contemporary digital and multimedia software programs, including illustration, video and audio production, digital design and motion graphics. They will combine their technical expertise with an ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deliverables for clients.

They will be a creative self-starter and enthusiastic about the capacity for digital technology to offer outstanding experiences and high-quality content to audiences. They will have a sound understanding of digital trends, advancements and innovation, and an ability to investigate creative and technical solutions to solve problems and realise opportunities.
