Position: Producer – Commercial and Contemporary Performance

At the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, we’re dedicated to advancing the arts and enriching our community through dynamic performances and cultural experiences. As Producer –  Commercial and Contemporary Performance, you’ll play a pivotal role in realising our strategic objectives while fostering a vibrant arts scene at the heart of Western Sydney.

What You’ll Do?

– Maximise Venue Utilisation: Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our venue is bustling with captivating performances. From commercial hires to partnerships and buy-ins, you’ll strategise to fill our calendar with the kinds of events audiences love.

– Forge Meaningful Partnerships: Collaborate with established promoters, presenters, agents, producers and arts organisations to bring a diverse range of product to our stage. Your knack for relationship-building will help us attract business from across artforms and locations.

– Curate Exceptional Programming: Work closely with our Venue and Presenter Services Team to craft a dynamic bookings calendar. With your creative vision and commercial acumen, you’ll shape our programming to engage audiences and drive both cultural and economic impact.

– Drive Project Success: Take the lead in scoping and developing multiple projects, from conceptualisation to execution. Your keen eye for budgeting and commercial deals will ensure that our initiatives thrive, creating shared-risk opportunities and driving growth.

– Collaborate for Impact: Partner with marketing, ticketing, venue and production teams to bring our projects to life. Together, we’ll engage audiences, cultivate market development, and elevate the performing arts experience for all.
