Position Title: Marketing and Communications Lead

Basis of Employment: 3 Days per week (Hybrid work arrangements available)

Location: Queensland Performing Arts Centre

Reports to: Director of QTouring

Salary: $81,000 p.a. pro rata plus superannuation

ABOUT US

QTouring is Queensland’s new arts touring organisation. In partnership with Arts Queensland and hosted by Stage Queensland, QTouring is delivering a refreshed model of state-wide touring and engagement services supported by investment of $1.3 million over three years. To ensure the success of the organisation and support services and engagement expansion, QTouring seeks a highly efficient and qualified marketing and communications lead  to work on the development of new initiatives aligned with the goals of the QTouring. These services will be an evolved model that will support and enable the delivery of sustainable touring of and engagement in arts and cultural experiences to connect communities and artists around the state.

The ideal candidate will be extremely organised with a high level of personal initiative, as well as have experience in digital and traditional marketing communications. As part of a small team this role would ideally suit a marketer who wants a career in the Arts and Community Engagement. Key capabilities across graphic design, copywriting, and administration would be valuable. Superior communication skills and a combination of energy, resilience and a sense of humour are highly regarded. A commitment to excellence and innovation is essential.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Implement the QTouring brand and marketing strategy.

Oversee the ongoing development and delivery of the QTouring website in conjunction with the Director of QTouring

Coordinate promotional opportunities and outcomes to assist in driving QTouring marketing campaigns.

Develop a range of regional, state and national QTouring campaigns.

Coordinate promotional opportunities and outcomes to assist in driving QTouring marketing campaigns.

Develop, implement and monitor a style guide for all external and (where appropriate) internal communications materials

Implement strategic communication and marketing strategies (both internal and external) for key QTouring projects and initiatives.

Oversee the production and distribution of marketing and communications collateral for the QTouring network including information for communities, presenters and producers.

Undertake out of hours work and travel where appropriate.

Other duties consistent with the position where required.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential Skills

Tertiary qualification in arts, marketing, communications or experience in a relevant field.

Demonstrated experience developing successful marketing and communication strategies, including leading social marketing campaigns.

Passionate about arts, culture and community engagement and familiarity with community engagement methodologies

Strategic marketing, communications, and evaluation project management skills

Desirable Skills

Experience in copywriting and proofreading in a customer-focused communications role.

Intermediate skill level in graphic design with experience using Creative Cloud software including Photoshop and InDesign.
